The Omega-3 Advantage

It's a fat and it's associated with lowering the risk of heart disease: Omega-3 fats are a type of polyunsaturated fat known to help lower blood cholesterol levels.

Commonly found in fish, in canola oil and now in omega-3 eggs, this type of fat could easily be made part of a balanced meal plan.

As a rule, limit your total fat intake, but don't eliminate fats from your diet, as they are a valuable source of essential fatty acids. Be aware of hidden fats in foods and remember to choose the better types of fat more often, as they are beneficial to heart health.
