Bocconcini and Asparagus Pizza

Ingredients

1 pizza crust
1 cup (250 ml) pizza sauce
1/2 cup (125 ml) sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped green onions
4 to 6 Canadian Bocconcini cheese, halved
8 whole asparagus, cooked
Olive oil
Oregano
Pepper

Preparation

Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).

Place pizza crust on buttered pizza pan (15 in / 37.5 cm) or baking sheet. Spread sauce over crust. Top with mushrooms and shallots. Place the 8 to 12 Canadian Bocconcini cheese halves on pizza. Arrange asparagus on pizza in a symmetrical pattern. Sprinkle with olive oil; season with oregano and pepper.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.


Suggestions

For those hot summer days, try fresh tomatoes with sliced Bocconcini and fresh basil leaves, drizzled with oil and seasoning.
Or
Sauté bell pepper strips with cubed zucchini and eggplant. Combine with thin slices of Bocconcini, drizzle with olive oil, season and enjoy!
