Beef Marinades

Our marinade secrets

Marinades containing acidic ingredients like wine, vinegar & fruit (lemons, kiwis etc.) enhance the flavor of beef and tenderize it.

Make sure that the marinade covers the beef. Let beef marinate for at least 6 hours but no longer than 24 hours. Marinating 15 minutes to 2 hours only enhances the flavor of meat.

 

The following marinades are for 4 servings of 60 to 90 g of meat to grill.


Marinades

Oriental style

  • 75 ml (5 tbsp.) low sodium soy sauce,
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) fresh ginger, grated
  • 60 ml (4tbsp.) scallions
  • 250 ml (1 cup) balsamic or walnut vinegar
  • Pepper to taste

 

Traditional BBQ Style

  • 125 ml (1/2cup) ketchup or salsa (hot or regular)
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.)tomato paste
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp.) brown sugar
  • Paprika and pepper to taste

Exotic BBQ style

  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) honey
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 250 ml (1 cup) balsamic or wine vinegar
